Animal red
Red is often used as a symbol of excitement, passion and strength.
This is also true in nature. During the breeding season of a bird
species living in the tropical areas, the throats of the male birds
swell and turn red, like big red balloons, to attract the female
birds.
Red also gives a warning of danger. Most lionfish (·à¤l³½) have red
mucus on their whole body. This terrifying red look can frighten
their enemies away. Even their eggs are bright red and formed into
a mass. It seems that they are warning others not to eat them.
Lionfish protect themselves with the 'red' strategy
H and N in influenza
A viruses
There are three types of influenza viruses: A, B and C. For influenza
A viruses, two types of proteins, namely HA and NA, can be found
on their surface. The different subtypes of HA and NA are given
simple sequential numbers, H1 - 15 and N1 - 9 respectively. Usually,
only viruses with H1, 2 or 3 and N1 or 2 are known to infect humans.
