Tropical rainforests are the most diverse ecosystem. They provide
shelters for over half of plant and animal species on Earth. The
tropical rainforests receive high rainfall throughout the year and
the temperature rarely drops below 16 ¢J. Since the weather is so
humid and hot at daytime, most rainforest mammals are nocturnal.
The rainforest bat species are especially well adapted for living
in the dark. Using their sonar (Án¯Ç), bats can fly easily between
the masses of trees, and locate the insects for food.

Who are the best friends of clown fish (¤p¤¡³½)? Not the regal blue
tang («Ò¤ý³½) Dory in the animated story, but the sea anemones (®ü¸ª).
Sea anemones look like flowers in the underwater. They have poisonous
tentacles (IJ¤â) for killing the prey. Clown fish live among sea anemones.
They have a mucus secretion over the body to avoid being poisoned
by the sea anemones. The sea anemones protect the clown fish from
predators. In return, the clown fish help cleaning the sea anemones
by eating up their leftovers and dead tentacles.
