Young's double-slit experiment

In Young's double-slit experiment, coherent light passes through a double-slit, the two slits of which are very close together (0.2 mm or less), and interference pattern of light is formed. Thomas Young first carried out this experiment on interference of light in 1801 and firmly established the wave nature of light.
